3. The Selina And Bruce Subplot's Probably Going To Cool Off
The Selina/Bruce subplot was an uneven but sporadically successful addition to the first season. The pair's bond was a little haphazardly handled, but its narrative implications (including the sour final note) at least made for interesting viewing. There's probably going to be a lot less of that in Season 2 though. Bruce is set to be preoccupied with uncovering his father's secrets, paving the way for him to become Batman. Atop that there's a new love interest to contend with in the form of Silver St. Cloud (Alyn Lind). Where does that leave Bruce and Selina? Hard to say, but given the tepid response to their dynamic and these new incoming considerations, it's tough to see Gotham Season 2 pitting them together often. However, that doesn't mean they can't develop apart, which might make a re-introduction down the line more intriguing.
