Gotham Season 5: Predicting The Fate Of Every Character
25. Jeremiah Valeska
Cameron Monaghan's performance as Gotham's equivalent to the Joker has been one of the most unexpectedly brilliant parts of Gotham. Beginning the show as Jerome, his slow burn transformation into the New-52 inspired Joker was one of Gotham's most enthralling character arcs. Many fans were devastated that his death meant the end of this unique take on the joker.
Those same fans were overjoyed to see him return in the most recent season, yet nobody was ready for what happened next. After Jerome died again (for good this time), he left a special dose of Scarecrow's fear gas that turned his twin brother Jeremiah into an even more twisted take on the Clown Prince of Crime.
Jeremiah's personality is somehow even crazier than his brother's. His obsession with sanity rather than chaos makes this villain all the more unsettling and a far more chilling nemesis for Bruce. Given that he is indeed Batman's nemesis, it is unlikely that he will die. Instead, the show will probably end with him facing Batman, and beginning their iconic conflict.
Though he will most definitely survive, he will be unable to stop Bruce Wayne's Batman, who will take him to Arkham, despite his claims of sanity.
