Gotham TV Series: 10 Reasons It Can Tie-In To The DC Universe

3. Companion Piece

I'm going to be switching gears here for the remainder of the list. So there are many reasons for and possibilities I can give for a shared television universe that consists of the current and upcoming roster of series. Let's talk about how it can all be connected to the movies, shall we? So many people are already anticipating this. Once again people see what is working for Marvel and assume DC should do the same thing. I personally disagree, and think that DC should stay away from that formula. Sure S.H.I.E.L.D. has Coulson and Sky, that's cool. Gotham has Jim Gordon, and possibly Harvey Bullock, Rene Montoya, Crispus Allen, and Jim Corrigan... Don't even try comparing the characters. The said - and with my love for playing devil's advocate, - it very well could serve as a companion piece to a cinematic universe that is shared by the likes of Superman and Batman. It can act in much the very same fashion as Agents of SHIELD, in that Gordon and his team go hunting after members of Batman's Rogues Gallery, and we can see different pieces of Batman's history. It could work I guess, but here's a better bet.

I'm a fan of pop-culture in all mediums: Music, Film, Gaming, Comics, TV, Whatever. I can generally find something enjoyable in even the worst trash. I guess as a B-Horror enthusiast, I kind of have to. Currently I'm an author working on a manuscript for a crime novel, and attending school to be an Environmental Health and Safety Technician. In the past I've made a go at running in an election for MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) for my hometown of Glace Bay. I was 23 at the time, and though I lost (by like a lot), I learned a lot more about politics in a month than I ever learned. Get at me on Twitter @DanWilsonWC
