7. The Antler Arrow

Green Arrow Nth Metal
DC Comics

Debuting in 1941, the first few decades of Green Arrow's existence saw him lumbered with some utterly bizarre trick arrows. When it comes to those most bizarre of weapons, few can quite match the sheer WTF-ness of the antler arrow.

Yes, the antler arrow.

Doing exactly what it says on the tin, this arrow is literally headed up by a set of moose antlers. Just why would one need to have this most unique of arrows to hand? Well, that's obviously in case you ever need to halt a raging moose.

Appearing in 1959's Adventure Comics #260, the antler arrow was utilised to save some poor youngster who was being charged at by a moose. The logic behind this arrow is that the only way to stop a rampaging moose is to lock antlers with it - and thus, the antler arrow was created for those uber-rare occasions where one is confronted by a gnarly, pissed off moose.

The convoluted nature of this arrow is completely mind-blowing - particularly as Oliver Queen just so happened to have this arrow in his quiver for that one time a young boy ended up in a zoo's moose enclosure while the Green Arrow was in the vicinity.
