Hannibal Spoilers: 10 Most Exciting Moments Still To Come

1. The Ending

Of all the upcoming moments to look forward to on Hannibal, the unknown is what's most exciting. At the beginning of development, Bryan Fuller had a clear plan for the series that he openly told fans; the first three seasons would consist of original material, followed by adaptations of Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal, respectively. Fuller would then end the series with one more original season to tie up Hannibal's loose ends. However, he later reorganised the series so that season three would include both Hannibal Rising and Hannibal. This reorganisation causes the second to last season to be The Silence Of The Lambs. With this in mind, speculation is possible. The final season of Hannibal will be a grand chase; Will Graham (and possibly Jack Crawford) hunting Hannibal one last time. It will likely pick up right where Silence of the Lambs ends, with Lecter having recently escaped prison. Only unlike Hannibal, the FBI will be actively searching for him and he won't vanish so easily. It is unclear right now what role Clarice Starling will play in the final season. At the end of the book Hannibal, she and Lecter are lovers, while at the end of its film adaptation she is trying to apprehend him. She could be on either side depending on what the producers want to do, and she may even face an inner struggle as she is forced to choose between Lecter and the FBI. The ending could be taken in any direction; Will could kill Hannibal, Clarice could kill Will or Hannibal, Will could side with Hannibal and Jack could apprehend both of them, or Hannibal can get away with everything. Unlike many upcoming moments in the series, the audience has almost no idea what will happen in the end. And that's why you should be looking forward to it most.
