Happy Together Season 1 Premiere: 4 Ups & 1 Down From 'Pilot'
3. The Humour
There have been far too many comedies over the years that failed for one reason and one reason only: they simply weren't funny. So far, this isn't a problem where Happy Together is concerned. Writers Tim McAuliffe and Austen Earl deliver a very witty and sharp script - one that is swimming in humour from the get-go.
From Jake and Claire's answering-machine jams, to Claire's eccentric mom who's in love with Cooper, the writing is side-splittingly funny the entire way through, and the Alexa gag proves to be a hit. It's also worth mentioning how good the actors are at delivering their hilarious lines. Damon Wayans Jr and Felix Mallard particularly shine in this department.
