1. Shocking Finale - Episode 12.
With Carrie struggling to cope with her theories not materialising and her bipolar condition deteriorating , we end the season with her voluntary electroshock therapy. Saul races to her bedside in an attempt to talk her out of it. Saul mentions that Abu Nazir's actions were due to him being in mourning after a drone attack killed his youngest son Issa. Carrie is adamant prepares for the therapy that could give short-term memory loss. As Carrie slips in and out of unconsciousness she recalls to the time she spent with Brody in the lodge, finally content to move on and forget. She has a flashback of Brody shouting 'Issa' in his sleep proving that Brody had a part to play plotting a terrorist attack. The volts pass through her and this dawns on her. Will she remember? We'll find out in season 2.
