Viewers have learnt that Walker and Brody have both been turned by Al-Qaeda and Walker has been serving as a distraction to allow the terror-group to get Brody in place for a suicide bombing. With Brody integrated with the Vice-Presidents ranks he has invited to a political rally unaware of his grave intentions. After Walker's sniper-attack outside the rally, all political staff, including Brody are rushed into a safe house under a federal building allowing Brody to slip though the metal detectors. Tension mounts as Brody looks to press the switch which doesn't go off. After several attempts he moves to fix the bomb in a nearby toilet. Outside the building, Carrie is frantically using every mean to stop what she thinks is going to happen inside, resorting to going to Brody's home and harassing his daughter to call her dad. Carrie is eventually arrested. Meanwhile, Brody is finally ready to hit the switch as he receives a timely telephone call from his daughter, after an emotional exchange of words she makes him swear that he'll be coming home. Brody ends the call and they are sent out with is chance over, ending an extremely tense piece of television. Carrie was proved wrong, or was she?
