Frank has used his position as president to do a lot of questionable things. But to use a State of the Union address as a way of spiting his wife? Thats both insane and impressive. This proved to be the best moment thus far in the season and showed just how bad things had gotten between Frank and Claire. For the first time in the series, they look like legitimate enemies. Neither seems too keen on reconciling anything, but instead, they are fighting to stay on top of the other. Robin Wrights repressed look of pure rage and hate should be given an Emmy right now and the added humiliation of having to give her husband a standing ovation after he just royally screwed her over is just brutal. And Frank cant let that be enough, as he caps it all off with a condescending smile and wave to his loving wife.
