How I Met Your Mother: The Worst Things Each Main Character Has Done

Robin Scherbatsky is easily the most complicated and emotionally stunted character in How I Met Your Mother which lead her to doing some pretty unforgivable things. She cheats on Kevin, gives Lily's baby to a stranger but the worst thing she did is revealed in the finale episodes of season 9.

Season 9 of How I Met Your Mother didn't go down too smoothly with most fans for a variety of reasons but the main problem was Robin's character arch towards the end of the season. She had just gotten married and subsequently divorced to Barney after realising that she was still in love with Ted. Because of the heartache of seeing him happy with his new family, she decides to throw herself into her career and becomes an internationally recognised journalist.

Whilst the gang is extremely proud of her achievements, they reveal that none of them had seen or heard from her in months. It's unclear how much time had passed between sightings of her, but the way Marshall compares her to a white whale shows just how rarely the gang see her.

Considering everything they had been through together, it's criminal that she lost touch with them all.
