Even before zombies did take over the world, everyone knew to remove the head or destroy the brain. If there's one thing TV and movies have told us on a constant loop, that's basically the only way to make sure they're done. This group of somehow still alive idiots obviously didn't get the memo. "Good job I have this swanky crossbow that makes all of the ladies swoon (even if I don't have time for that, I need to find my brother.) Great, he's gone and he left his hand. Noooooooooooo!
