9. Ernst Erskine & The Iron Fist Remains

One name that comes up numerous times throughout the show is Ernst Erskine, a collector of ancient Tibetan art who, in the comics, was the best pal of Iron Fist Orson Randall.

Though neither Erskine nor Randall appear on-screen during the season, their presence is felt pervasively throughout, especially with their involvement in shipping the corpse of a long-dead Iron Fist to Davos to help him complete the Ceremony of Transference.

When the dead body was first spotted in the show's trailers, many assumed it might be Randall himself, but alas, that clearly isn't the case. If we take comic lore at face value, Danny is the 66th person to take up the Iron Fist mantle, so the possibilities for the corpse's identity are pretty damn extensive.
