5. Ben The Soldier

Hands down the nicest character in the show, Ben The Soldier made his debut on the show in the same episode as Da' Maniac, where he was involved in an online relationship with Dee. However, when he arrived in Philadelphia to meet her, he was in a wheelchair and because Dee is a terrible person, she ran. Although he did get some lovely jean shorts out of it.

Turns out, the strapping, hunky soldier had merely injured his knee and soon became the object of Dee's affection once again. Throughout all of the episodes Ben has appeared in, he has always been the nicest man on the planet, even when Dee accuses him of trying to use the ridiculous D.E.N.N.I.S system on her.

The highlight of Ben's appearances definitely comes during the aforementioned Time Share episode where both Dee and Charlie compete with Mac and Dennis to con Ben out of money, thinking him an idiot. In one of the most hilarious moments, all four of them try to trigger his PTSD, only to find out he was a computer programmer who only joined the army to travel the world.

Hopefully, we see more of Ben in the future as in a show full of abhorrent people, he is a lovely palate cleanser.
