7. The Scariest Threat In The World
'YOU HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF THE SMELL, YOU B*TCH!'
As mentioned previously, the hilarity of Dennis Reynolds lies mostly in his uncontrollable rage and clear psychotic tendencies. There is an entire episode dedicated to him being the likely suspect in a murder.
But the scene in the link above comes from Psycho Pete Returns from season ten and it wonderfully lays out exactly how dangerous Dennis potentially is. For context, in the episode a friend from their childhood has returned from a mental health facility, due to rumours he killed and ate his parents. Mac and Charlie are gutted by his new docile nature, whereas Dennis, Dee and Frank fear for their safety.
They visit a shrink, hoping to con the good doctor out of meds. Whilst Frank has a breakdown and leaves, Dee steps in much to Dennis' dismay. The threat he gives his sister is spine-tinglingly chilling and the delivery by Howerton in this scene is immaculate. The way he switches from enraged to calm is unnerving.
The punch line of the joke is that they do get their desired meds, as the doctor prescribed them to Dennis for being an "actual psycho", which is dismissed by Dennis as expected.
But yeesh... when he says "glass box", you really feel he is envisaging a horrific act.
