It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Reasons It's The Funniest Show On TV

1. Each Character Is Completely Insane In Their Own Way

In most TV shows, there's one crazy friend who is balanced out by the other more normal characters on the show. But on It's Always Sunny, each member of the gang is absolutely insane in some way or another. Considering the shenanigans The Gang gets into, it would be surprising if any of these people were actually sane. Frank, for instance (who raised Dennis and Dee and was supposedly their father), sold Dennis as a prostitute to old ladies at a country club, and he made Dee pretend to be his fiancee so they could get money from her biological father. Then there's Dennis, who makes sex tapes with every woman he sleeps with and even offered to have sex with the lawyer's wife so she couldn't take all his money if she left him. Mac, who celebrated Christmas as a kid by breaking into other people's houses with his parents and taking their presents, also tried his hand at a man hunt with Dennis. It's probably safe to say that Dee is the least insane, and even she had a crack addiction, took steroids to win a boxing match, and once beat up a homeless guy who was masturbating behind Paddy's. But worst of all (but isn't he really the best?) is Charlie Kelly, the self-declared "Wild Card," a man who pretended to have cancer so The Waitress would sleep with him, eats cat food, and huffs glue every night before bed so he can sleep through the noises the feral cats make outside his window. His favorite food is milk steak, he created The Nightman Cometh, and he once cut the brakes on The Gang's van only to shout "WILD CARD" and jump out of the moving vehicle. He also did this. These people would be considered insane by any standard, which is probably why they make for such amazing television. Like this list? Let us know in the comments section below.
