Credit where it’s due: in “The Gang Gets Extreme: Home Makeover Edition”, the Paddy’s Pub crew actually set out to do a good deed.
Granted, they’re doing this because they’re practising wish fulfilment process The Secret, and wish to inject some good karma into their lives to grant their own desires, but all the same, they’re trying to do something decent.
They go about it the wrong way, of course, breaking into the Juarez family’s home in the dead of night and screaming at the terrified household in a language they don’t understand. It goes downhill from there: they focus all their attention on the destruction part of the process, before realising they don’t know how to go about the vital rebuilding.
They burn the house to the ground, and Dee is forced to surrender the mansion she inherited from her mother in order to make things right. So, in a roundabout kind of way, the gang actually achieved what they set out to do here.
