It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Worst Things The Gang Has Ever Done

5. Dennis In General

The specifics of Dennis Reynolds’ deviancy is one of Always Sunny’s final unsolved mysteries. His evolution over the show’s run, from preening narcissist to unstable and possibly murderous lunatic has been great to watch and expertly acted by Glenn Howerton. We don’t know precisely what Dennis has been up to, but we can be pretty sure it’s among the darkest things a member of the gang as done.

Things really come to a head in season seven, arguably the show’s peak. This is when we learn that the trunk of his car is full of tape and zip ties, which he tries unconvincingly to explain away as nothing sinister. In the same season’s “The ANTI-Social Network”, he becomes obsessed with a man who shushed the gang - the episode ends with Dennis locking the guy in the bar with a terrifying smirk on his face.

It only gets worse from here - he fantasises about being an executioner when in therapy, and becomes obsessed with wearing another man’s skin. The writers no doubt have something up their sleeve when it comes to Dennis’ reveal - it has a lot to live up to.
