It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Dennis Reynolds

Always Sunny Dee
FX

Extremely narcissistic and vain to the point that he’s compared himself to a god on more than one occasion, Dennis Reynolds (co-creator Glenn Howerton) is the co-owner of Paddy’s Pub and is driven by his own delusions of self grandeur and warped sense of perfection.

Whether it’s his psychotic obsession with his looks, his sociopathic methodology for seduction which is nothing short of emotional abuse, or his desperate need for control, Dennis shares a lot of characteristics associated with serial killers. The show even goes as far to make direct references to notorious killer Ed Gein. In fact, Dennis’s constant sociopathic actions have led some fans to theorise that Dennis is a murderer himself.

Given the many jokes that allude to his dark sexual deviance, it’s understandable to see why this theory is believable. But underneath Dennis’s meticulously groomed exterior, he’s enormously sensitive to the point that he becomes aggressive if he doesn’t get his own way.

The only time that Dennis has showed any genuine emotion onscreen is when digging up the corpse of his own mother (yes, that happened in the show).
