It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)
10. Season Fourteen
Always Sunny's most recent season was a decent step-up from season thirteen. Though the first episode, "The Gang Gets Romantic", isn't quite as inspired as other stand-alone shenanigans in the show, season fourteen does pick up with great slices of comedy in the social satire "The Gang Texts", the crime-noir "The Janitor Always Mops Twice", and the brilliant "Paddy's Has a Jumper."
With Dennis back from his brief absence, the season finds the gang back together and showing why they work so well as a ensemble. The banter flies, the humour is sharply observed, and the only real complaint is that is that none of the episodes are massively original, leaning into tried-and-tested gags to move the season along.
That's not necessarily a bad thing, but you can't help but watch season fourteen without thinking, "How much longer can they keep this up?" It's a fun but predictable affair, and if they're to keep things going for another 4+ seasons, they'll need to hit the show with a bit more innovation before they go completely stale.
