It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 13: Every Episode Ranked Worst To Best

8. Charlie's Home Alone

It's Always Sunny Season 13
FX

As the title suggests, this episode focusses on parodying the holiday classic Home Alone, only starring Charlie Kelly rather than Kevin McAllister.

Charlie is left behind when the gang attends the Super Bowl, and is frightened by a knocking at the bar's door, deciding to set up a series of booby traps that are more in keeping with Jigsaw than Kevin. Of course, nothing goes smoothly for the janitor, and he falls victim to his own traps in extremely gory fashion.

The problem with this episode is that it takes Charlie's stupidity past loveable and quirky to purely idiotic, and by focussing on just one character for the whole episode, we miss out on the show's best comedy, which comes not from pratfalls and bear traps, but from the Gang as a whole interacting.
