It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: The Worst Episode From Every Season

2. Season 13 - The Gang Beats Boggs: Ladies Reboot

This episode is terrible by design, as its sole goal was to take jabs at the Hollywood trend of rebooting popular franchises with female characters. But, the fact that it suffered from the same pitfalls as the very trope it was satirising gives it an easy place on this list.

"The Gang Beats Boggs" is one of the show's most creative outings, and this episode sought to reboot it by playing the same narrative but with an all-female cast, including Dee, The Waitress, Artemis, Mac's Mum and Bonnie Kelly.

Naturally, the outing was filled up with b-list characters, and while these figures are a delight in moderation, they've got nowhere near enough development to carry an entire episode. This made it feel pointless and sucked all the laughter out of it.

Dee works hard to carry the episode and busts out some great laughs, but the chemistry between her and the others is nowhere near as fun, and the episode never finds its footing as a satire of female reboots.

Plus, the fact that the highlight was a cameo from Frank Reynolds shows just how much they botched this one.
