It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: The Worst Episode From Every Season
3. Season 12 - A Cricket's Tale
If you were to ask an Always Sunny fan who the show's best side character is, you could bet your bottom dollar that they'll name the king of the dog orgy himself, Rickety Cricket. Thus, the idea of an episode from his perspective seemed perfect, but it was far from it in execution.
"A Cricket's Tale" follows the titular mess of a man as he reconnects with his family, attempts to readjust to society and bring Matthew Mara back to life. As you can expect, it doesn't go too well.
The show deserves some credit for trying to build an outing around this fan-favourite character, and that hilarious plot twist in the final moments sure was memorable. However, this one was just filler and didn't feel like an authentic episode of Always Sunny.
Its lack of the gang made it feel colourless, and the decision to try and rehabilitate Cricket felt like a safe choice. Fans were eager to see a glimpse into his horrifying life but instead got a subpar plot with nowhere near as much debauchery as you'd expect, save for some canine bonding at the end.
