Jessica Jones Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen

The worst kept secret about Jessica Jones Season 2 is that David Tennant's Kilgrave will return. Disregarding the issue of how he could feasibly be back for a second, this can only be a good thing as the villain was such a superlative and significant element of the show's debut season. The mind-controlling creep was arguably one of the finest Marvel bad guys to hit the screen to date.

However, as much as seeing more of Tennant as the would-be Purple Man is something to look forward to, the character needs to be coming back in a meaningful way and not just turning up in some superfluous cameos that don't add anything to the overall storyline.

For how not to do it, look at Sherlock's last couple of seasons, which promised fans a proper return for Andrew Scott's Moriarty and then only featured him in a few dream sequences and flashbacks. What Jessica Jones needs to do with Kilgrave, then, is to find an engaging narrative reason for Kilgrave to make a comeback.
