7. It's The Funniest Marvel-Netflix Show

One of the things Season 1 really had going for it - which we hadn't seen too much of in Daredevil, then the only other Netflix Marvel show available for comparison - was a great sense of humour. Jessica Jones was a combination of jet black comedy and human eye-roll emoji, and it helped add some levity to an otherwise extremely dark show.

The Defenders double-down on the comedic aspect of the character, and while she was hilarious there was a risk of the character being Flanderised into little more than a side-eye giving quote machine.

Luckily that isn't the case, because the character has - and continues to be given - so much depth and more to do in her own series, but without losing that now trademark comedy. Jessica is still a person who gives zero f**ks and hits as hard with a one-line retort or take down as she does her fists, which along with the acerbic wit of Carrie Anne Moss' Jeri Hogarth, some moments of absurdity, and a few great lines and reactions, it makes for what's easily the funniest Netflix Marvel series to date.
