Marvel's Jessica Jones: 13 Big Questions After Binge-Watching Season 1
7. 99 Friends?
In episode 4 of Jessica Jones, appropriately titled AKA 99 Friends, there was one moment that really made me pause. When Jessica is talking to Audrey, the rather suspicious woman she's going to investigate the husband of, she discusses the amount of people with similar gifts to her, and states that there are 99 in her borough alone. 99? That's an awful lot of gifted people, and even more so gifted people we've never heard of before or since. Now, in likelihood, Jessica was probably just saying this to try and scare Audrey a bit, to make sure she doesn't try anything. Is that really the case, or could Jessica genuinely be aware of other gifted people? Given that this show is set in the same universe as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (although they don't like to admit it), could it be a reference to Inhumans who are appearing on that show?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
