Joss Whedon: A to Z of Awesome

Y-Z

Y is for... Yellow Crayon

OK, so maybe this is me not really finding anything all that great to include under Y, but I thought it would be nice to include one letter just for the fans. If you don't watch Buffy you won't get this reference, if you do, then you and I should be friends. Yellow Crayon... look it up. It really is the sweetest thing.

Z is for... Zack Whedon

Another Whedon brother... and luckily his name begins with a Z because I honestly was worried about this one the most. Zack Whedon is less involved in the Whedonverse than his other two screenwriting brothers, but he has some pretty awesome screenwriting TV credits to his name. As well as co-writing Dr Horrible, Zack wrote episodes for the HBO popular series Deadwood and was nominated in 2007 along with the other writers for a Writers Guild of America (pretty much the biggest achievement of any television writer). He also acted and wrote for the show John from Cincinnati and has major geek cred for writing episodes for not only the short lived but great sci-fi series Rubicon but he has also written three episodes of the most popular science fiction show currently on TV, Fringe (which, might I add, is probably also influenced somewhat by Buffy The Vampire Slayer). So now you know your ABC's, next time won't you sing with me? But in all seriousness, if you made it this far down the list thank you, and I'd love to here about your own love (or hate- if that is even possible) for Joss Whedon in the comments section below....

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future. (As of January 2013 I have had over 1 million views since joining WhatCulture in September 2012. You can reach me at danieljamesbowen@hotmail.co.uk)
