Honestly, if it wasn't for the fight that made it onto the number one spot, then this would've easily been the pick of the bunch. Talk about finishing the first season with a bang. MAPPA really outdid themselves with Yuji and Nobara's battle against the Cursed Twins.
Firstly, Yuji gliding away from Eso's Wing King attack was incredibly slick, while Nobara playing a "game of chicken" with the enemy by using her Straw Doll: Resonance technique to hurt them is truly maniacal badassery. Honestly, just look at her face when she stabs the nail through her wrist. She genuinely looks like she's ready to inflict so much more pain on the twins.
The music completely in sync when Yuji and Nobara both hit the Black Flash technique was such a memorable moment for everyone who has followed the show throughout its first season.
However, the real icing on the cake was the reveal of Nobara's Hairpin technique. There's a beauty in its brutality that is hard to explain, as Kechizu's blood splatters through the air. And for Nobara to finish it off the kill by saying, "Don't worry, I'll be sending you to join your older brother soon." was the anime equivalent of a walk-off knockout.
