3. Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder
Originally supposed to be killed off at the end of season one, Justifieds first villain, Boyd Crowder, has become one of the most integral parts of the show. Boyd started out as a preaching white supremacist, but over the last four seasons has become a much more likable character with an expanded role. Walton Goggins has seemingly done the impossible; he took a very unlikable character and made him one of the most interesting characters on television today. Boyd has transitioned over the seasons from a small time criminal to a force to be reckoned with in the state of Kentucky. The chemistry between Boyd and Givens is the most significant aspect of the show. Both Goggins and Olyphant have mastered the persona of their characters and have created a unique and fun rivalry that is consistently growing. With everything that these two characters have experienced together, its surprising that their relationship continues to become more complex and interesting with every episode. Although Raylan usually has a new villain to take down each season, Boyd remains the unsung antagonist for the Deputy U.S. Marshall. Boyds plans have changed throughout the show, but Goggins stellar performance, as the smooth talking Harlan County criminal, has remained consistent.
