In season two, Eve rushes into a secret operation as she thinks Villanelle is in trouble with Aaron, a tech-giant and douchebag. Carolyn had explicitly told Villanelle not to kill Aaron under any circumstances, so she responded by dragging him over to a mirror and slitting his throat so he can watch.
Eve's pretty shocked, especially when she figures out that both her and Villanelle have been played, with Carolyn wanting Villanelle to kill Aaron the whole time.
