After getting some surprising news about her origins, Villanelle journeys back to Russia and visits her missing family.
She spends the episode singing along to Elton John songs and competing in a town fair. But we know that the light-heartedness can only last for so long. This is Killing Eve after all.
The climax comes when Villanelle has a chat with her mother, Tatiana. Tatiana once again rejects Villanelle's cries for love and acceptance, instead telling her that she's just like her.
That doesn't go down too well with our lead. She kills Tatiana and, sparing only her brother and favourite step-brother, blows up the rest of the family.
