Kingdom Come - 10 Things Arrowverse Fans Need To Know Before Crisis On Infinite Earths

5. Lex Luthor

Kingdom Come Superman
DC Comics/Alex Ross

That alliance Batman and his Outsiders turned to was with Lex Luthor and his new faction called the Mankind Liberation Front. Consisting largely of older villains such as Catwoman and the Riddler, the MLF stitches together a plot to worsen the superhuman conflict in hopes of eliminating them all at once.

Once Batman realizes this, he is quick to engage the evil mastermind but by then it’s too late. With the help of a mind controlled Captain Marvel, Lex is able to enter the final phase of his plan.

It didn’t work in the end of course, but his actions were still vital in shaping the course of events. As far as CW are concerned, last season’s Supergirl finale saw the Monitor resurrect Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor, leaving him alive and well to play his part in the Crisis.

Whether it’s him or a Kingdom Come doppelganger, because the Arrowverse loves those, it’s almost certain Superman’s greatest foe will once more have his say when we get to this crossover.
