Krypton Season 1: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best
3. Adam Strange
In many ways, Adam Strange is Krypton's cornerstone, as it was he who first traveled back in time to warn Seg-El of Brainiac's coming in an effort to make sure Superman isn't erased from history.
In addition, Adam Strange's role in Krypton's overarching narrative is one of someone who is desperately trying to do the right thing, in spite of how bad they usually are at it. This is complemented by some subtle, yet clever meta-commentary on the character's status in the DC comics.
In this series, Adam Strange is a self-professed D-list wannabe who wants nothing more than to prove he is a real hero that is capable of saving Superman. He gets in way over his head, but pushes on nonetheless.
What makes him an especially sympathetic character is that, as far as season one concerns, he doesn't succeed. He and Seg come very close, only to have General Zod snatch a victory out from under them. In other words, he's still chasing his ambitions.
Finally, the character is wonderfully brought to life by Shaun Sipos who has wonderful chemistry with Cameron Cuffe's Seg-El and has been an absolute treat to see on-screen since Krypton's first episode.
