Legion: 25 WTF Moments From Season 1

Next, we have another moment that is relatively only slightly weird conceptually, but becomes a lot stranger as a result of how unabashedly abrupt it is.

At the beginning of Chapter 5, we see Syd and David having a chat by the lake where they briefly discuss the events that led them to this point. Syd says something about them still needing to find out exactly what David is, to which he replies that he knows exactly what he is. All of a sudden, we see a close-up of Syd's face in front of a white background as she wears a white dress.

David, also in white, then leans in close to her hear and whispers in a soft, sensual, and, frankly off-putting voice: "I'm the magic man."

As it turns out, David found a way to create a room in the Astral Plane where the couple could finally be together without Syd's power interfering. Why he couldn't have just told her that before scaring the hell out of her is anyone's guess.
