Legion: 9 Ways It's A Totally Unique Comic Book TV Show

7. A Lack Of Action

One of the hallmarks of any comic book show is its action, from big set-pieces to frenzied fight scenes to tightly co-ordinated stunt work.

Legion, for a lot of the time, veers away from this. It's not about beating up the bad guys, but instead takes a deep dive into the psyche of its lead character, which means that we're much more likely to get a long conversation than we are a big fight sequence.

Despite this, you never really feel like the series needs the action to bump things along. Whereas on some superhero shows you're left waiting for it to spark into life, Legion is constantly alive, always buzzing.

On the odd occasions when it does dip into action, it still presents it in a different way, utilising the range of powers at its disposable that other shows don't really have.
