6. What Is The Shadow King's Ultimate Goal?
Of all the things that were hard to follow in season 1 of Legion, what the Shadow King was after wasn't one of them. The psychic parasite also known as Amahl Farouk wanted to take control of David's body so that it could have a corporeal form.
By the end of the season, however, its plans were scuppered and it had to jump into Oliver's brain to survive. With Mr Bird under its control, the Shadow King - still in the form of Lenny - ordered Oliver to take them south, or "someplace warm."
This could have just been a destination chosen on a whim - if they have to go on the run from Summerland and Division 3, why not chose somewhere nice? - but it's also possible that the creature is formulating a new plan that could allow it to get its body back ... and much, much worse.
You see, the official synopsis for the season promises that the Shadow King is planning to get its hands on "infinite and world-ending power." Who knows exactly how the villain is going to achieve that, though.
