Loki Episode 1: 5 Biggest Talking Points

1. Infinity Stones Are Useless In The TVA

Loki Episode One Film Reel
Walt Disney Corporation

Well... we spent ten years building to the most ambitious crossover event in history and focused 22 movies around the six most powerful gems in the universe, and then...

They no longer have any power whatsoever.

To recap, Loki's first episode saw the titular trickster taken into custody by the TVA and held against his well, due to his decision to interfere with time as we know it.

Naturally, he attempted to escape and at one point took the receptionist hostage, in order to steal the Tesseract back and leave the HQ.

Unfortunately for Loki, things work very differently in the TVA. In the drawer with the Tesseract happened to be a varied assortment of Infinity Stones, each without their signature glow.

The Infinity Stones are the most powerful items in the history of time - however, they don't hold any power in the TVA. When taken outside of their base reality, the Stones are rendered useless.

Knowing that many of our favourite characters died for these Stones, it was a complete shock to see them used as paperweights on the desks of TVA agents.
