There’s a fair bit of emphasis, this episode, placed on purpose and origins. Renslayer remarks to Mobius that everything is only as it is because that is what the Timekeepers decree, and when Loki asks about the end of time he is told that when the Timekeepers have everything all sorted out, everything will be in order and we will meet in peace at the end of time. Which is...vaguely ominous.

This is something that Kang discovers himself in the comics when studying the Timekeepers, and a lot of Kang’s most interesting bits are entwined with the TVA and the problem of future and destiny.

It’s not completely ridiculous to say that a lot of the themes the show points towards are Kang-adjacent, and with Ravonna in the position she is with the relationship she has with Kang in the comics you can’t blame people for jumping to conclusions. Even the middle statue in Ravonna’s office is starting to look a little bit Kang-y...

But as of yet we don’t actually have enough solid information to give out any solid conclusion on what to expect.

Finally we have to dedicate just a moment to the possibility of Kang turning up and linking to Ant-Man 3. The title for the third movie is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, leading some to speculate that the link will be how the TVA exists in the quantum realm and Kang is known for being a universe-hopping quantum menace. Watch this space...
