So Lady Loki isn’t the woman in power so far (not that we’re lacking powerful women, including the ever-badass hunter B-15 played by Wunmi Mosaku). This episode we got to see more of Ravonna Renslayer, a judge at the TVA with quite a close relationship to investigator Mobius M Mobius.

She’s a dedicated servant of the Time-Keepers and of the TVA, but I can’t help but feel like she’s hiding something - like she knows something we don’t. It’s kind of just something you expect when there are these all-powerful overlords that you can’t actually physically see, that you think maybe they don’t exist at all, or if they do then they’re not what they’re made out to be.

In the office scene there were a few unclear references, including a snow globe, some roller skates and a Franklin D Roosevelt high school pen. Do I know what any of this means? No. Am I going to overthink it? Yes.

Even their bit with the coaster seems to be some kind of metaphor about how even though there’s imperfections and marks there already, you should still strive to prevent more issues occuring. But maybe that’s just the pretentious movie-watcher in me coming out.

Something that Renslayer’s presence is also sparking is a lot of Kang hype. Maybe because her comics counterpart was Kang’s dreamgirl, maybe because of Kang’s obvious links to the TVA, we don’t know! But people are starting to notice lots of little things that may be pointing in his direction.
