Loki: Every Variant Ranked Worst To Best
4. Sylvie
While the name Loki might be on the title, it's easy to see how Sylvie is also the real anti-protagonist of the show.
Her battle against the TVA and mission to get revenge against the Time Keepers was the driving force that kept the series moving forward. Her purpose and motivation were solid, but she lacked a little bit of that classic Loki flair.
There is a little confusion about her origin for comic-book fans, as her namesake of Sylvie implies a connection to the Enchantress character, who was granted her powers from Loki, but was far from being a variant of him. However, the show combined the young Enchantress with the character of Lady Loki and produced Sylvie.
This was an exciting way to bring the character in. But sadly, she doesn't have a lot of spark to her. While she's got a quick wit and some great chemistry with Loki, Sylvie is also overly serious and lacks a sense of fun. Seeing a Loki who is entirely severe and stern does sound promising.
Still, this character never committed to it, as she walked the line between too serious and charmingly light-hearted so often, she didn't fall into either category.
