Loki Season 2 Episode 2 Review - 6 Ups & 2 Downs

3. Up - Mobius' Life

Loki 2
Marvel Studios

In spite of being a bureaucrat and essentially a lackey for a huge organisation like the TVA, Mobius' humanity has shone through in his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His attitude, his nature, and of course his love for jet skis have all made him extremely likeable from the beginning.

As soon as Sylvie and Loki confirmed in season one that every single TVA worker was a Variant, and that they all had their own lives on the Sacred Timeline, it feels obvious that his passion for jet skis has come from a real memory that wasn't quite erased all the way.

Who doesn't eventually want to see Mobius free of the stresses of the TVA, kicking back and relaxing on a jet ski like he has dreamed about for who knows how long? Surely it's going to happen at some point, and thanks to scenes like the one shared between Loki and Mobius in episode two, it will have one hell of a payoff.

Mobius was certain that he wanted nothing to do with his old life, and that he was a part of the TVA, but this is only going to make that moment he finally returns home all the sweeter.
