Lost: How It Should Be Re-Cast In 2021
4. Charlie Pace - Rupert Grint
Casting a popular actor from a fantasy movie franchise worked well for Lost when they cast Merry Brandybuck (Dominic Monaghan) as Charlie, so why not do it again?
The struggles of drug addiction, fame and violent conflict were all things Charlie Pace suffered in his life. His time on the island was riddled with problems but also thrills. Although he went through a lot of pain, he also found love, friendship, and bravery. Sound familiar? Well, Ronald Weasley experienced something similar during his time at Hogwarts (if you ignore the drug addiction).
Rupert Grint would be an excellent choice for Charlie, as he's effortlessly charming and fun but also able to deliver a sense of pain and suffering. His post-Harry Potter career hasn't taken off as much as it could have, and a role like this would be a great chance to show off his skills.
The man's a talented actor, which is evident in the HP series and his roles in the shows Snatch and Servant. So, he'd fit right in here.
