Lost: How It Should Be Re-Cast In 2021

When it comes to picking out the fan-favourite characters in Lost, the list will be longer than the time it took for viewers to find out where that Polar Bear came from. Still, there's one name that plenty would put at the top, and that would be Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes.

This loveable character ticked all the boxes, as he was an easy piece of comic relief but also had a dark backstory and plenty of turmoil. Fans fell for him, and they fell hard, so choosing someone to take over for him is a challenge.

But, one actor who could be up to the task is Josh Gad, known best as the voice of Olaf in Frozen, but also the star of movies like Beauty and the Beast, The Internship, Pixels and more. He's a big star in musical theatre and comedy but could have a great run here.

Gad has optimism and energy that suits Hurley well. He's also proven in movies like Murder on the Orient Express that he can go dark when he needs to, so all the bases are covered.
