Louie: 10 Reasons It's The Greatest Show Of The Past Decade

7. No Continuity

louie-season-3-fx2 "Louie" is a prime example of what can happen when you give a genius a little bit of money and a whole lot of freedom. Lou has spoken many times about how cool FX is, basically minding their business and letting him be an artist. Because of this, they don't really mind that he has had two different women play his mother, or that he only had a brother for one season, or even that he cast a black woman as his ex-wife, even though his kids are white. It sounds sloppy, and on any other show is probably would be, but somehow "Louie" pulls it off. Not only does he pull it off, he has made it, obviously, one of the best qualities of the entire series. I'm secretly hoping his kids are Asian next season.
