Love Island: 10 Reasons To Still Be Excited For Season 7
9. Laura Whitmore Returning As Host
First and foremost, this is not meant as any disrespect to the late Caroline Flack. She was an essential part of the UK’s Love Island and her bubbly, sweet personality really suited the tone of the show. She was someone who always valued her time on the show and spoke fondly of the people she worked with. It was never going to be easy to replace Caroline.
But credit where it's due, when Laura Whitmore was filed in as a temporary substitute in Series 6, she did a fantastic job as the presenter and was probably the best person they could get to fill the shoes of Caroline. Not only was she a close friend to Ms Flack but she was an avid viewer of Love Island and understood the game.
Laura came across with professionalism and composure whilst still having a strong personality to carry the show along. And after she candidly spoke out against Caroline’s nasty trolls, people’s respect only went up for Ms Whitmore and they wanted to see more of her. And they shall in the upcoming series.
