Luke Cage Season 2: 22 WTF Moments

17. Luke & Claire's Domestic Incident (Episode 3, "Wig Out")

Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) appears during the first three episodes of the season but is conveniently written out following an intense domestic dispute with Luke.

She warns Luke about buying into his own fame and becoming the angry black man a lot of people already assume he is, all while Luke gets increasingly frustrated by the tone of the conversation.

This leads to Luke angrily shouting, "Enough!", and repeatedly punching the wall, leaving a huge hole in it. This prompts a distraught, shocked Claire to leave town, even sub-letting her apartment to somebody else.

Sure, it's basically just an easy way to get Claire out of the way for the rest of the season, but it's also an affecting and superbly-acted scene that further deepens Luke's characterisation.
