4. Christopher Masterson - Francis
Christopher Masterson appeared in 118 episodes of Malcolm in the Middle as Malcolm's oldest brother Francis.
Francis played the problem child to end all problem children; although we do get to watch as Francis grows into a responsible adult in what may just be the most satisfying character arc in the show.
Christopher Masterson continued acting after Malcolm in the Middle, and racked up a fair few film and TV appearances. He was reportedly considered for the role of Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but lost out to Orlando Bloom.
He now performs music under the name DJ Chris Kennedy, although somewhere out there is an alternate universe where we're all watching him engage in swordplay with Johnny Depp.
