Marvel's Iron Fist: 10 Things That Must Happen In Season 2

8. ... And The Meachums

Apart from the Hand, the other major threat to Danny in Iron Fist's debut season was the Meachums. At various stages, either Joy and Ward, his childhood friends, were out to get him or their twisted father Harold was trying to use Danny's gift for his own ends. Unfortunately, they were all underwhelming. The emphasis on the Meachums meant that there was a lot of tedious corporate machinations that we could do with being cut back in season two.

Thankfully, the end of season one heavily suggested this was going to be the case anyway. Harold has finally been dispatched and Ward, Danny's new business partner, looks set to be a better person now that he can step out from under his father's shadow.

Still, Joy has apparently done an unlikely heel-turn into complete villainy by hiring Danny's old friend Davos to kill him. It's a contrived bit of character development, even with Joy's recent trauma, and hopefully isn't an omen that season two will bungle its treatment of the Meachums as much as the first season did.
