Marvel's Iron Fist: 10 Things That Must Happen In Season 2

7. Work Harder On The Action

Marvel's previous Netflix shows have been characterized by their great action sequences. Obviously, Daredevil is the standout. With its brutal, brilliantly choreographed fight scenes, that show raised the bar of what we expect from superhero TV action. Unfortunately, Iron Fist really fell short in this regard.

With the main character being a master martial artist, we were expecting lots of awesome kung fu action. Instead, season one was full of bland, nondescript brawls where Danny failed to convince as a true kung fu expert.

A big reason for this is surely that the scenes were poorly prepared. Star Finn Jones has admitted that he was often learning choreography for the fight scenes just 15 minutes before they were shot. In that case, it's really no surprise that many of the action sequences fall flat.

Let's hope that the showmakers will hone in on this aspect of production with season two and work harder to make the fight scenes stand out. And give the performers more time to prepare, while they are at it.
