When Danny is forcibly detained at Birch Psych Hospital, the resident doctor who assesses him for his delusion says he's seen a lot of people claiming to have powers since the Battle Of New York. He refers to it as The Incident - the same parlance used in the other Netflix shows.

And later it is revealed that Gavin - one of the young members of The Hand offered an opportunity of redemption by Bakuto - was also injured during The Incident. So we're still talking about the collateral damage of the end of The Avengers, though this time there's a suggestion that it may have created some unhinged villains accidentally.

At another point, there's a reference to the "incredible green guy" as a nod to Hulk's impact on the wider world of the MCU.
