It's totally just a little throwaway gag, but Ward's code name for his father on his phone is Frank N Stein, as an allusion to him rising from the dead. It's not the most elegant gag, since Frankenstein wasn't the monster and obviously didn't rise from the dead, but Frank N Steinsmonster doesn't have the same ring to it.

And really, the name foreshadows the fact that it's Ward himself who eventually becomes the monster of his father's making. It's him who attempts to kill his creator, driven by his obsessions and there's more in his story of the monster than his father.
